Right, so as I am known as the motherly person in our loving and accepting group of friends...I sometimes take on "special cases", in which I take care of and attempt to make "socially acceptable". This is a VERY difficult task as sometimes the young ones I take on are very "challenged"...
My newest student is Simona...there is no need to change her name as she is not ashamed anymore...well she was never really ashamed. So, one day we were in History and Simona as a budding geographer asked...."Is Papua New Guinea in Australia?"..............Me and two other girls were so shocked by the question we were silent for about 40 seconds. We then stated "no honey, it's not...it is its own seperate country. She later went on to say..."No, no, no IT IS IN AUSTRALIA....IT'S WHERE ALL THE ABORIGINALS LIVE!!" we as the kind friends we are started to laugh hysterically....she did not laugh..she had a serious face on and we stopped laughing and realised she wasnt joking....awks for us.
